Ultimate Terrain USA Patch To Version 1.1 Description ----------- This patch will update your Ultimate Terrain USA product to version 1.1. Preliminary Tasks ----------------- Before installing the patch, there are two things that should be done. (1) Start the "Ultimate Terrain USA Setup And Configuration" utility. Then, make sure ALL Ultimate Terrain USA Features are turned on. (2) Make sure FS2004 is not running ! There have also been reports that FS2004 will occassionally not terminate completely at times. This is causing some scenery files to remain locked even after you terminate FS2004. You can ensure that this problem will not happen to you by rebooting your computer before applying the Ultimate Terrain version 1.1 patch. Patch Installation ------------------- Download the UtUsaPatchV11.exe file and execute it. The patch utility will try and read the correct FS9.EXE location from the registry. If this location can not be read, you must locate it yourself within the patch program. In nearly all cases, the location of the FS9.EXE file will be read correctly from the registry. The exception will be those users that have manually moved FS2004 from it's original installation location. The patch utility will then verify that the patch can be installed. If it can, then you will be prompted to continue. Both the verification process and the installation process are LENGTHY ! As long as the application is busy (busy cursor), do not stop the process. A good time estimate for both processes may be 10-15 minutes. When the patch is complete, your scenery files will be updated to version 1.1. What The Patch Includes ----------------------- * Landclass for Western USA cities has been changed to dryer textures as appropriate. * Fixed all reported problems with lakes/glaciers flattening mountains. * Fixed reported problems with lake elevations. * Excluded a few reported buildings in water. * Added missing roads that should cross water in area around New Orleans (Lake Pontchartrain) * Rebuilt all night lights to remove floating lights (except those due to differences in installed mesh vs UT mesh).
